“ After a loooooong day of travel we needed a good meal. We have smallish kids, so we were a little nervous to try such heavily ethnic food. Im happy to report it was a smashing success. Everyone loved the halloumi appetizer, and we got a variety of meats for the meal. Everyone loved them. The lamb lollipops were the biggest hit, with the mince lamb kebabs in a close second. The staff was very kind and helpful in guiding our choices. There was plenty of food and we had leftovers for breakfast. It was very laid back, we were in casual travel clothes and felt fine. Some families were definitely a little dressier. Very convenient location and worth a tube ride! ”

“ Celebrated a triple birthday with family here. The staff was very considerate accommodating a large group. The service was prompt and the food tasted great. Between our table of 18+ people, we got quite a large bit of the menu to try. They pay attention to detail here, which is really nice, stopping by to make sure you have enough condiments and everything is ok. The toum was a favorite at our table being that it was a newer experience for many. The vibe here is really nice and warm. Every table across the room had happy faces. I got the chicken shawarma and just like all the other plates, it was a larger than average portion and the flavor was really good. This restaurant did a great job and I would recommend going here if you have a large group with something to celebrate. ”

“ We came into the restaurant, greeted with smiles and joy. A choice of tables, the waiters waited patiently while we looked through the bountiful and scrumptious menu. The food came quickly, hot and fresh. Crispy chips, soft naan and juicy meat. We finished, stuffed to the brim with the generous portions but our wallets still happy. On asking for the dessert menu, the waiter quickly came back with a full plate of baclava completely free. So kind and thoughtful. Being a bit cheeky we asked for tea refills, the waiter didn't even bat an eye lid but took our cups and refilled them adding in fresh mint. Wow, Ayam zaman you are the man. ”

“ Best Middle Eastern food in London!!! The service is friendly from the moment you walk in you are greeted as if you are an old friend. The menu offers everything from light snacks to a full meal from the grill. The restaurant doesn't serve any alcohol so instead they make fresh to order smoothies (mint and lime is my favourite). An added bonus is their store next door where you will find they sell many of their mezze dishes for you to take home. ”

“ THE BEST HALAL CATERING IN LONDON BY FAR!!!. Ayam Zaman Catered for my Wedding, All my guests and I agree that Ayam Zaman provide the best Arabic Catering in London by far. I would recommend then for all events from weddings to a dinner party. The quality was excellent and portions were generous. The are unbelievably reasonable. “ Went to this place before a show at Bush Hall. We'd meant to go to Abu Zab but that is closed and as we were literally outside Ayam Zaman, we came here despite the three stars. We ordered a few appetizers, the young chicken, mixed grill and lamb couscous. They were all tasty especially the entrees and especially the couscous. The downside is that service was pretty slow and we had to ask for water multiple times before we got any. But overall I would be back and it is a solid choice in the area. ”

“ I don't know why I disregarded the group wisdom of Yelpers, but I admit that I didn't get the baby chicken here. Greedy fatty that I am, I went for the mixed grill since I wanted some lamb in my system for a rainy day. My friend got the baby chicken grill platter and the morsel he lobbed at me was the tastiest and juiciest chicken I've had in a while. I seriously considered just invading his plate for the remainder of the meal. All platters are served with a big heaping hillock of rice, an onion-heavy salad, and a half pita. We also started with a mix of cold and hot mezzes, though none of these really stood out. Complimentary Arab desserts at the end go well with the tureens of mint tea you can order. Note that no alcohol is served here, so get your booze on elsewhere. ”
